Part-Time (50% loading) Teacher of Computer Science required from September 2025 to join our Computer Science Department at an exciting time in its development. With the introduction of devices across the school, the department plays a key role in promoting digital literacy. The introduction of a new GCSE qualification involving on screen assessment, presents opportunities to extend students coding knowledge further than ever before and in September 2025, the department will roll out a new pre-GCSE qualification, for KS3 students.
The successful candidate must be able to teach KS3 and KS4 students, covering both theory and programming. Experience of teaching Python or another programming language is preferred but not essential.
The role offers an opportunity for the right candidate to gain new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment and applicants from other subject areas would be considered. The successful candidate must exhibit strong problem-solving skills and be a competent user of IT.
The ideal candidate will also be involved in the extensive extra-curricular life on a pro-rated basis at our busy Boarding and day school.
