Geography Teacher

Geography Teacher – Candidate Pack

The school is looking to recruit a Geography Teacher from September 2025. The role is offered on a full or part time basis.

The successful candidate will be able to teach Geography with expertise and enthusiasm at KS3, GCSE and A Level, offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system.

Candidates with experience of teaching IB would be an advantage but not essential.

Attendance and Safeguarding Officer

Attendance and Safeguarding Officer – Candidate Pack

We are looking to recruit an Attendance and Safeguarding Officer to join the school ASAP.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Deputy Head Pastoral and Safeguarding with duties that will include.

  • Monitoring daily student attendance, identifying patterns and trends of absenteeism and lateness.
  • Implementing attendance improvement strategies in line with school policies.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and produce reports for Line Manager and external bodies.

Hours: 30 hours per week, 8am-2.30pm, Term Time only

English Teacher

We are looking to recruit a full time English Teacher to join our English department from September 2025. The role is offered on a full or part time basis.

The English department is a thriving and energetic department which sees itself at the centre of academic studies at Box Hill School. It seeks to promote a love of literature for its own sake, while being fully aware of the responsibilities of delivering the necessary literacy skills which will support pupils in their studies and in later life. Part-time Computer Science Teacher

Part-time Computer Science Teacher

Part-Time (50% loading) Teacher of Computer Science required from September 2025 to join our Computer Science Department at an exciting time in its development. With the introduction of devices across the school, the department plays a key role in promoting digital literacy. The introduction of a new GCSE qualification involving on screen assessment, presents opportunities to extend students coding knowledge further than ever before and in September 2025, the department will roll out a new pre-GCSE qualification, for KS3 students.

The successful candidate must be able to teach KS3 and KS4 students, covering both theory and programming. Experience of teaching Python or another programming language is preferred but not essential.

The role offers an opportunity for the right candidate to gain new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment and applicants from other subject areas would be considered. The successful candidate must exhibit strong problem-solving skills and be a competent user of IT.

The ideal candidate will also be involved in the extensive extra-curricular life on a pro-rated basis at our busy Boarding and day school.

We are looking to recruit a Head of Chemistry to join our Science department from September 2025.

Working with the Head of Science you will be expected to facilitate the implementation of department policy within the subject with responsibility for monitoring progress in Chemistry at GCSE, A level and IB, as well as being able to help develop the delivery of Chemistry to all age groups by sharing good practice. Peripatetic/Visiting Music Teachers

Peripatetic/Visiting Music Teachers

We are looking for highly motivated and committed music educators, specialising in the following instruments to join our inspirational peripatetic music team at Box Hill School:

  • Saxophone – immediate start
  • Cello – immediate start

The roles would be under a Consultancy Agreement with a self-employed status as a Visiting Music Teacher (VMT).

The ideal candidates will be able to:

  • Teach pupils to a high standard in their area of musical expertise.
  • Teach students individually and in ensembles if required.
  • Inspire young people with a love of learning and making music.
  • Involve young people in planning how they want to learn and make music inclusive of examination preparation upon request.
